Afghan Workforce Development Project

Funded by USAID  this project Increased the professional
capacity of  job seekers and current mid-level employees of major private sector companies through the provision of demand-driven project management
as well as financial management training that addresses the current need of the private sector labor market

HoME
Various studies indicate that one of the root causes of the low  employment rate and very low salaries for nationals in Afghanistan is the gap between the professional skills required by private sector companies and the level of skills possessed by mid-level employees and job seekers.   In order to address part of this problem in Afghanistan, AHEAD is implementing an Afghan Workforce Development Project in the field of Project  Management as well as Financial Management trainings which aimed to Increase the professional capacity of  580 current mid-level employees of major private sector companies & job seekers through the provision of demand-driven project management as  well as financial management training that addresses the current need of the private sector labor market.

All demand-driven project management training use  competency-based training curricula which has been adapted to the current needs of, and validated by, private sector companies in Mazar-e-Sharif.
